This afternoon Bandung - Padang Communication will be Normal

BANDUNG: PT Telkom promised phone calls this afternoon from Bandung to Padang can be normal again after not working since the 7.6 magnitude earthquake centered on SR 57 km southwest of Pariaman, West Sumatra at 17:15 pm, yesterday afternoon.

Vice President of Public and Marketing of PT Telkom, Edi Kurnia, said today his party was to restore the entire phone network which had disrupted by the earthquake with the involvement of all the technical parts personi field.

"Hopefully this afternoon returned to normal telecommunication lines, residents of Padang to Bandung was able to contact his relatives," said Edi.

Edi also said that, until now only two STO in Padang certainly badly damaged, the STO Siriman Pariaman and Balaisarasa.

"Telkom Flexi from BTS 90 BTS 42 just is not working due to electricity supply is blocked, while for SingTel group still does not work because the core of transmission is interrupted," said Edi.
